I never knew that there was a "The Vampire Lestat" comic, and it is also all done in rich watercolours. But I found-out when Google Images linked me to this post { http://sharpest-rose.livejournal.com/761423.html } which is a rambling & excerpts from my favourite The Vampire Chronicles character. Hell, I even named my little boy cat after him.

I linked to where I found it at the bottom of the comments in that Nicki post because someone there was asking (I also e-mailed it to them).

EDIT---
The comic artist painting Armand without eyebrows is amusing me more than it should.

Date: 2014-03-29 12:32 am (UTC)Also, apparently Anne Rice is writing a new Lestat novel. (Personally, I can't help but cringe every time her name has come up post-The Queen of the Damned. This is what can happen when your ego gets out of control and there's no one you'll listen to for useful criticism! Between that craziness and her harsh stand against fanfiction, she, along with Orson Scott Card, has become one of the few authors I actively dislike as a person/disagree with -- I haven't really decided which. Anne Rice is fun to watch in the same way as a train wreck. [This report, in which Anne Rice wrote a complaint as Lestat because she disliked some restaurant, is one of my favourite all-time wanks, though most anything in the Anne Rice tag is gold.])

Date: 2014-04-09 05:35 am (UTC)Yeah, I heard, but I don't think I'll buy it. I really GREATLY DISLIKE Anne Rice. And to me she has nothing to say that I really want to hear, especially after the fanfic and cracking down on fans business. I might have my dislike of her impacting The Vampire Chronicles, but I don't really take them that seriously. Even while rereading Interview, I kept being amused by just how many things/characters are set on fire. It's liek the go-to plot device. Which is also why I did so poorly on "Wide Sargasso Sea" for English class because I kept thinking of Interview... But yeah, even the more 'serious' novels in the series I don't take seriously, and the more-and-more ridiculousness of the later ones just adds to it! I can separate my dislike for the author from love of the series for that reason. Unlike with Martin Freeman, who I even found attractive before his interviews -___-
