As far as styling goes, I think it mainly just needs more poofyness and volume (probably not the right terminology, but just something so it's not lying flat) on the sides.
I used a technique I read about on a cosplay-help forum. Disassemble a Sharpie and then place it in a bottle of Rubbing Alcohol. It actually worked very well. The ends are flippy because it is wet.
Yep it's got volume. It's just very wet in these photos from being sprayed with rubbing alcohol. I might need to buy some light gel and style the bangs though.
