Hullo, hullo, hullo
Jul. 21st, 2010 03:24 amOn July 2nd as I posted, we got a new kitten. It took over a week to name him, but June decided on Nick [the name of Diane's late-husband], which was decided to be short for 'Nicolas' and further shortened to 'Nicki' [because of my love for Nicolas de Lenfant].
The kitten is 3lbs of fur, claws, and trouble.

As you can see from the picture.
He is very active and gets into a lot of things. Him and Minnow took a box of tampons, ripped it open, and flung them all over my floor. Several times. He also took my shoe, dragged it across the floor and tried to pull it into the litterbox. And when picked-up to remove him from what he is getting into he will blat. He doesn't mind being picked-up and likes to be held, but he will cry if he was being bad and he is picked-up.
The Sunday before last he was after wires/cords and I got down to get after him and when I went to get up again *BANG* I hit my head hard on a doorknob. I saw little red & white spots and couldn't steady and felt like vomiting. Wendy called my mom and got her to drive me to outpatients. They kept me there all afternoon monitoring me. I was having a lot of trouble staying awake. I tried listening to "Faith Stealer" Big Finish audioplay, eating a muffin with apple juice and talking to my mom, but I just couldn't. It was pants. They decided to send me home and for me to come back if it got worst, and that I had a mild concussion.
Tuesday I was having more trouble walking and neck pain, so my mom took me back. They made an appointment for a CT scan [the nearest hospital with one was over an hour away] and wondered why I hadn't been sent for one that Sunday as I couldn't stay awake. We went to Kentville last Thursday and had the scan [the nurse/operator had to help me because I couldn't walk well]. I haven't heard back from the results yet, but have been improving. Still get confused & have trouble concentrating and get dizzy if I over do it. I can't be on the computer for very long or watch much television, and reading is meh. I also was having trouble writing. I think I'll probably be alright by the end of this week though :] When we were in Kentville my mom and I ate at Paddy's Pub & Rosie's Restaurant. I now have an points card from them~ I like the one in Wolfville more as they have more on the menu and the décor is nicer. I had a piece delicious Irish cream cheese too~ Not that cheesecake can be anything but delcious [97% of the time] ;P
-------------
I was in my garden a lot befoe bonking my head and it has since gotten full of weeds :( But besides from that it looks marvelous~ I need to take pictures of my lilium in the next day before they wilt and such. They are gorgeous!~

Here is one from last year. This year I've been blessed by having 4 or 5 flowers on the plant~
------------
I have also been playing "Echo Bazaar" almost daily. I am getting higher in my stats so I am having a lot more to do and see, and I have gotten a firmer grasp on my character. I really need to make a post on them. The next section of my Ambition ["Nemesis"] will be released this Friday so I am so excited. I have been thinking of making a post as a summery of the first part--"Of murder, dried rose petals, and red honey." Maybe I can make myself do so... :/
I am also following 4 of the dream stories: "Death By Water", "Is Someone There?", "A Game of Chess", and as of Friday "What The Thunder Said".
I was going to list what has been going on in each one, but I am too tired now :(
------------
So Captain is off, ciao~♥
Name suggestions?
Jul. 5th, 2010 08:33 pmOn July 2nd one of the guys Charles works with dropped a kitten off on us. It seems that we are keeping the poor little guy. He is well behaved and litterbox trained and all that jazz and June has taken a huge liking to him so is is all good. But the little bugger needs a name.

I like 'Fitz' but no-one else does and I really don't like Wendy's suggestion of 'Boots' [I think it is generic and meh]. So any ideas?

Apr. 20th, 2010 03:58 amThings...have been...hectic and yet stagnate.
( on June )
---
( slightly on Twitter )
I want to also voice that I am an awful friend, and I just keep failing people still. I am too tired to put to words how guilty and like shit I feel for it. I just keep withdrawing more now, because I don't know how to talk.
---
But anyway:
( on WOLFVILLE ADVENTURE, 'Being Human', and sick )
---
BUT is is FAR TOO LATE to be up for me, and thus I will have to try to remember to post about my garden and such in the morning.
Ciao loves,
---Sarah

Oh Jimmy Carr!
Jul. 30th, 2009 05:44 pmEach panelist was given a bunch of alphabet magnets and told to make interesting phrases with them. Jimmy Carr used all his letters to make "PUT SMARTIES TUBES ON CATS LEGS MAKE THEM WALK LIKE A ROBOT", which I thought was fucking fantastic. Alan Davies said something like "That is...That is un-fucking-believable! it makes sense--they would walk like a robot. It's an idea, it's like giving people an idea."
I sometimes just want to pinch Alan's cheeks or poke him on the nose.
OH GAWH WHAT THE HELL PEOPLE D:
Apr. 20th, 2009 10:58 pmToday I tweeted the following after telophase linked to ThisIsWhyYouAreFat.com:
http://www.healfarm.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=32&products_id=621&osCsid=dosvilgb9lhqaui8sdfbflm946 <---WTF PEOPLE! D: 12 kinds of bird--water & land fowl(!)...called "True Love Roast" D: PUTS TURDUKEN TO SHAME! D:
AND when I Wikipedia-ed 'turducken' to make sure I spelled it right, I got to read this:
The largest recorded nested bird roast is 17 birds, attributed to a royal feast in France in the early 19th century (originally called a Rôti Sans Pareil, or "Roast without equal") - a bustard stuffed with a turkey, a goose, a pheasant, a chicken, a duck, a guinea fowl, a teal, a woodcock, a partridge, a plover, a lapwing, a quail, a thrush, a lark, an Ortolan Bunting and a Garden Warbler. [2] The final bird is small enough that it can be stuffed with a single olive; it also suggests that, unlike modern multi-bird roasts, there was no stuffing or other packing placed in between the birds. This dish probably could not be legally recreated in the modern era as many of the listed birds are now protected species. [1].
WHO COMES UP WITH THIS?! Do they really need to have that much meat at a sitting?! WTF!? D:
My cat is now 5-years-old :O
Apr. 20th, 2009 12:20 amSo yep, here is a picture of my ass!cat sitting in the pot of Wendy's umbrella tree...;
So yeah, Happy Birthday to Minnow~! ;P

The foot-stool is in the chair because Molly is a idiot. She got sprayed by a skunk AGAIN D: [7 times now D:], most dogs learn after once, hell even Belle learned after twice. Molly is either too pig-headed or too dumb to know better. I have to wash her in 'Skunked' tomorrow -___-; ...Smelly-ass dog...
Minnow wants to eat cock (and hen) :O
Feb. 25th, 2009 08:27 pmPheasants have been feeding off our lawn where the seeds from the birdfeeder fall on the ground. A younger female [(no long tail? that's why we think she is only young)called a hen] & a gorgeous male [called a cock] :)
I'm too lazy to upload them here unless asked, so I'm just linking from Facebook ^^;
We have since put down some food for them, so we shall see if they come back :)
