I hope you're able to get the ultrasound soon and that all goes well. 'Well' in that they're able to find what's causing your pain and are able to relieve it, not 'well' as in 'welp, you're fine and we don't know what's wrong!' It's crazy to think you had a snowstorm today; we have no snow at all here.

I also rarely check Facebook. One of my friends once mentioned a way to send texts via computer, but a Google search didn't find me anything promising; I don't suppose you'd know of any websites/programs?
