ladynoremon: (Tardis)

I like bananas. Bananas are good.

ladynoremon: (Dio VLR)
First off; my default user-picture is Dio from "Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward" for about the next week [since the winter holidays mean Ciel from "Kuroshitsuji"]. I wanted a VLR user-picture, but since a fankit (nice quality official art of the main characters) hasn't been released yet, and I can't afford the artbook (and I've not found scans), I copied the backgrounds off the official website. I'd rather have Quark, but his, Tenmyouji's, Luna's, or Sigma's were either afraid or grumpy expressions, so I went with Dio (but might switch to VLR!Clover later). Dio has been a character I love to dislike, and he is like the Owen [from "Torchwood"] of VLR--Only he hasn't been selfless or redeeming eventually, and since I've gotten his Ending I doubt that he will in a different route. Quark says a line "How could you have done that, Mr. Dio? You're a jerk!" that is pretty much what I keep continuously saying myself. Though I still really like his hat (Dio's & Quark's, but I mean Dio here). And suspect that he'd probably masturbate to that Astronomy magazine...[He kinda creepily calls it a 'dirty magazine' & asks Sigma if Saturn's rings excite him ([ profile] ahnjehleehn draws him like a creeper hilariously)]. Though my favourite characters so far have been Quark, Tenmyouji, Phi (mostly due to this crush & her Nami-ness), Luna (who tends to remind me of me), & of course Clover (since she's from 999 & Snake's little sister), I've not really taken to any of them deeply like I did the 999 cast. I'm not even as fond of Sigma (who is the character I'm playing) as I am Junpei. It probably is that Junpei is such a strange dork, and there isn't as many joking/ridiculous scenes in VLR Escape Sections (in Hard mode at least) as there is in 999. I was hoping I'd like him better since in the OVA he talks more like a film noir protagonist (he also isn't voiced in-game which is a shame as the other characters are, and his OVA voice is lovely), and I really adore playing film noir protagonists (like Kyle Hyde).

This past week-ish I visited Douchette & earned 15 PSN Trophies. I had a lot of fun, and it was nice to ramble about Desert Bus & have human contact. I finally beat the Ice Troll in "Sorcery", and got up to just after a shadow!ninja/Sheikah character appea & failed The Nightmare Queen [she also killed Wizard Dash (Finn's teacher/the one who he stole the wand from & drank random potions from his locked cupboard off)]. Erline hasn't seemingly been as mean as the first part of the game either. I also played up to Chapter 2 of "NeverDead". It has HORRIBLE controls, and is so broken. I quit after in the 2ND Chapter Spoons (enemies that can cut Bryce's head, and other limbs off) & Grandbabies (enemies that will eat Bryce's head and will quick time event cause a Game Over) started spawning is great numbers together. I got sick of instant Game Overs so gave up (a character kinda like Vamp from MGS2 was introduced though). I really dislike the useless sidekick too (I can't even remember her name, it's something Phoenixia Maximilus or convoluted such though). She is supposed to be a cop or government agent but she is pretty much just wearing a sweater for a dress (it just covers her bum), is showing her bright red & lacy bra, she just stands around while you have to protect her (she can die from damage, and is very unlikeable (she even shoots Bryce in a cutscene because she 'just felt like it'). Matt & I decided that we didn't really care for any of the characters (Bryce didn't grate on me as much though) so I looked-up the plot later when I got back since I knew I probably wouldn't be bothered to beat the game eventually (I beat "Bayonetta" in installments over several months though). After reading the plot though I kinda like Bryce a bit better [he was all Christof (from "Vampire: The Masquerade -- Redemption") virtuous until he decided to fight a malicious god who then decided to just brutally murder Bryce's wife in front of him. Then rip out his eye while Bryce was horror-stricken and curse him with immortality. Leading Bryce to be all guilt-filled & trying to redeem himself for that stupidity] after reading said plot summary though. I also played an even more broken broadway dancing game, and played more of "You Don't Know Jack" (because 5 single-player games played on a Friday or Saturday night is an Achievement/Trophy). That game tries way too hard to be 'quirky' but is actually pretty good with hard/interesting trivia questions. I'd like to see it as a television show like "Quite Interesting". Oh, we also finally beat "Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves" which we originally played a bit of when it first came out. I love games that really are cooperative!

I also watched all 6 episodes of "Bob & Rose" since adoptive sister was away. I bought it months ago from the local Home Hardware's discount/previously viewed DVD bins (I think it was $4 or $6). It has Alan Davies and was created by RTD, so I figured it might be probably good. These DVD case has that it's about a gay man that falls in love with a straight woman, and how they & those close to them deal with it and such. The case tries to play it as a silly but serious romantic comedy (and tries to say that the normal gender roles are reversed), but it really is more of a drama. There are some sweet moments (like Bob telling Rose he hopes to be around with her a long time), and some funny, but it's not like a situation comedy or camp or any of that. I recommend it as something of a nice short story (only 6 40-ish minute episodes), but I do warn that there are some triggery bits like with cheating. It also has actors from other things that I recognise; Julie's actress (from "Coronation Street"), Harriet Jones' (from "Doctor Who"), and I think I saw Mandy's (also from Corrie) too. I usually have a hard time recognising people in things and especially remembering names (also have a horrible sense of direction, but am good at remembering events).

I am also rewatching "KurageHime"/"Jellyfsh Princess" as I discovered that the subtitles are readable on my television (most subbed anime subtitles get cut-off or are too small with my television, and this DVD player doesn't have Zoom-Out like the one I watched FMA on). I stopped at I think episode 7 as I didn't want to watch further than I had read in the manga (this was 2010-ish), but I learned that the manga is still on-going (far past the anime's plot) so I expect the anime to be like many that have a different ending. So I'm going to rewatch/finish it! It's been making me tear-up a lot this time around though, especially the bits with flashbacks to Tsukimi's mother. I love Kuranosuke's voice, and I really need to look-up who does it as it sounds familiar from something else too.

I've been going through my old VCD's and found 4 episodes of "Iron Chef" on one, so I'll have to ration out watching them. "Lobster Battle", ""Spiny Lobster Battle", and Squid Battle 1 & 2. I think I've only seen one of the Squid Battles because I remember Morimoto-sama making squid mousse, but I have seen the others and just watched them during one of the times I've blacked-out (I watched a lot while in AB). Fuck, I love Iron Chef~ It's so ridiculous!

I'm also now a part of a collaboration drawing group that plans to send the finished artwork to the creator of Zero Escape :D I was pretty much in tears that Angie actually thought to ask the leader if I could join, and actually that I was thought about at all. I really don't expect to be by anyone, so when I am I get all surprised & ;~; The character I got selected for from my list of preferred is Detective Seven, so I'm quite happy. I still haven't finished my VLR countdown pictures, but I'm waiting right now to see if TwitPic fixes it's fullsize pictures not working, and for when I turn my computer back around (I still have it set-up for/from Desert Bus). I really need to start practicing drawing him as I want this to be excellent.

I also set-up an Ask.FM account as it seems more popular than Formspring now, Formspring won't work on my Nintendo 3DS now, and Formspring deleted all but 1 of my unanswered questions without warning (the customer service guy was kinda jerky too). It's at:

Lastly, though this hasn't got much response either; I'll need to get holiday cards shipped-out soon. So again, if there is any interest, please e-mail me your post mail address!

Another early morning. The brats decided to try attacking my box spring, which is going back so I had to keep a semi-sleeping vigil. Lydia also kept trying to climb-up from behind my bed, which she certainly can’t fit up, and Nicki kept batting his paw down at her. Yeah, anytime on the weekend I catch "Kingdom Adventure" is.--it is an awesome show though! 80's puppet show about Zordock(sp?) an evil wizard-guy that wants to throw the whole kingdom into chaos & darkness, and two forest dwellers that work to stop that from happening. Pokum(sp?) & Vibes(sp?) are my favourite characters (Vibes is a purple-haired bard!). It has been on CTV every Saturday since I was little, and I hope it will continue to be on in repeats since I have missed some episodes still. I think it is CTV’s quota for Christian programming, since they no longer show “Mass for Shut-Ins”. Yeah, it’s a Christian show, and at times is only thinly veiled as such (The Emperor sends his son, but The Prince was killed. Then he returned to life, et cetera, et cetera.). Yet it also has a really awesome The Legend of Zelda type feel, and is really well done. I hope to get it on DVD some day, and hopefully rip it to .AVI, as it doesn’t even have a Wikipedia article ;_;

But yeah, Desert Bus has been doing excellently. They auctioned-off an awesome Majora`s Mask baga Tetris skirt earlier, and tonight ate strange a whole jar of Marmite...I love this fundraiser~ They also auctioned a Persona pack from Atlus (I stayed-up for it as it was similar to a listed give-away. So I hope I don’t miss the give-away!). I really want the B-side album now! Though I have given-up on P4, & as I mentioned I put my PS2 away finally. I tried playing it again after buying that poster, but it just makes me feel horribly sad due to my reasons for buying the game to begin with. I will try it again in a few months though, since I am not watching the anime either. (and I still heart Naoto.) I also have a Naoto/Protagonist doujinshi that I bought that I may some day scan...

Actually avoidance is why I have been updating here so much instead of engaging on Twitter. And [ profile] malruxia probably thinks I hate him, but I really just haven’t been on MSN in a very long time. If I am not talkative, I usually don’t log into things, or most of the time I don’t even have my computer turned on. BUT I don’t usually cut-off ways to contact me! I will even check my e-mail usually once a day, and I am always open to text-messages or calls (THOUGH MY RAZR HATES TO NOTIFY ME OF MY VOICEMAILS D: )...and I usually will sneak on GoogleTalk with ebuddy. I have gotten so I can e-mail with my RAZR short e-mails, and it is a bit easier to check e-mails from people. Someday I may Friends’ Lock an example of the types of e-mail I would receive that has lead to my horrible e-mail anxiety. Basically there was a chance that contact from my ex’ would be decent, horribly insulting, or start-off decent and then just suddenly fall into a rant about how fat & pathetic I am (leading to 3AM contact with an apology).

Anyway, “The Mentalist” is now on CTV -SIX- times a week! o___o I love this show, and I missed a lot of episodes, so I am really enjoying watching it. Patrick Jane is a jerk, smarmy, but he is also awesome. I love his fashion sense, and his blue Citron XD For those that don’t know; “The Mentalist” is about a con-artist that had his wife & daughter murdered by a serial-killer and is working as a consultant with the police to get vengeance.

As some may know, I used to be a huge fan of "The Equalizer" and used to watch it when I came home from school on SpikeTV...which at the time was TNN...

[See an article on CBC]

I feel kinda bad because me & Rika [Twitter mate] made fun of his name on the weekend, since it has 4 'd's and is kinda monotonous(is that the word?). I suggested taking the 'd's out to make 'Ewar Woowar' [as per a joke on "QI"] but then that would have too much 'war' in it which would be worse. I hope he would have found it amusing...and not kicked out asses...But *gah* I kinda thought it was a joke this morning when I heard that he had died. Like to me it's like saying Lloyd Robertson or such had died, he was one of those not 'big name' celebrities so the coverage wouldn't be as massive, but still something someone might make-up. I don't know how to take the news really. I'm going to go digging for my taped episodes of "The Equalizer" though and watch some of his awesomeness.

This part from series 2 made me laugh all last night, and most of today.

Each panelist was given a bunch of alphabet magnets and told to make interesting phrases with them. Jimmy Carr used all his letters to make "PUT SMARTIES TUBES ON CATS LEGS MAKE THEM WALK LIKE A ROBOT", which I thought was fucking fantastic. Alan Davies said something like "That is...That is un-fucking-believable! it makes sense--they would walk like a robot. It's an idea, it's like giving people an idea."

I sometimes just want to pinch Alan's cheeks or poke him on the nose.
ladynoremon: (Peter)

So I was reading this article/interview with Russell Tovey from the Telegraph, and the following bit really made me laugh:

Russell Tovey: "I got suspended twice, once for calling my French teacher sweetheart, and another time when I was caught by the headmistress for eating cake in the girls toilets."

He played Midshipman Frame from "Voyage of the Damned" :3 But that quote gave me a hilarious mental-image!

ladynoremon: (Rose & The Doctor)

I realized tonight that "Planet of the Dead" is airing later today! :D [though I'm hopeing that Ten just isn't so hurt/sad, like it would be alright for character, but not alright for Sarah's mood]

I'm very ansty atm.

ladynoremon: (*spurt*)
I just saw 2 guys in spiky chaps wearing devil horns, jump around, do flips, and skip rope in this thing I can only describe as a 'wheel-o-death' :-O )
ladynoremon: (Sabastian)
The timed icon meme:
(1) Choose an episode of anime or television series you have on your computer. Make sure you're certain you want that one, you cannot change or mind once you skips this step. DO NOT TELL YOUR FLIST WHAT YOU CHOSE.
(2) Make note of how long the episode is here -> Length of episode = 45:32
(3) Ask your flist to choose a time between 00:00 and whatever the length of your episode is. Be specific, (ie: 19:11, 21:09, 02:42)
(4) Make them an icon using THAT FRAME ONLY no matter what it is. And remember, you can only use that ONE episode you chose previous, even if the person posting isn't familiar with it.
ladynoremon: (Canucks) feels like that game was me eating air. All 'where did it go?'-ness

5-1 Phoenix Coyotes ^^;

BUT Luongo was on "After Hours" so it wasn't so bad. Vancouver is 4th in the Western Conference too ;P

Here (I love this commercial, it always makes me laugh-out-loud :D):

Luongo has some great hair by-the-way ;) [I still think he looks like Adrian Paul too, in a way...]

Damn "Fringe" is so good :D I am soooo enjoying this show! Olivia is growing on me, but originally Peter was my fav' character. I need to find the episode (or 2? I think I missed another episode, but I'm not sure) I missed online. I wish I had a colour television though because I loved the colour schemes they were using. Damn I need a new TV >_<

Here are a few pictures of my pitiful snowman** ^^;

my poor tiny half-assed snowman... )

**I went outside to make a snowman on the night of January 31st. The snow was too much like powder so it didn't stick together. I ended-up just piling a few of the snowballs I did manage to make together and covering them in more snow. I then took a block of frozen!snow and used it for a head. I then wrapped a scarf around it.

I can't wait to actually get to make a proper snowman :C
ladynoremon: (sadlink)

Before he moved, Trevor gave me his old television. It is covered in duct-tape and has a Canada flag on the side. It's cord is about 2/3 is a Citizen and says it was CSA Approved in April 1985...I just got new bunny-ears for it...

Tonight the picture went in it :( [just a 1/4 inch line in the middle of the screen now...I turned it on to watch CBC and it made a few fizzy noises and that was it...]

ladynoremon: (Kio -abandon-)

I'm still sick but the cough syrup has done it's job for supressing the cough, but I still feel like I have a gob of something down in the throat/chest. I slept 'till 2pm yesterday and 1pm today D: Oh well the stuff makes me sleepy and sleep + fluids = good so it's alright~

I stiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiillllllllllllllllllllllll need to reply to 2 messages from Armie, but I have been so *blaaaaahhhh/glurrrr* when I've been on my comp, and I can't seem to put my giggles into words to send D: (I looooooved the videos though!)

Yeah hopefully when I'm better I can get out of this rut I'm in. It's not that I don't think of people, it's just that I don't know what to say or can't get the motivation to go online/do stuff. I just need a few kicks because I don't want to be like this D: I also need apparently high doses of sugar.

Btw, "Bartender" is a awesome anime, and "Fringe" is a totally awesome show that scared the crap out of me last night...

I am right hyper at the moment :O AND "Heeeeeeeeey, Mr.Zebra, can I have your sweeeeaaaater?" Wendy was watching American Idol and this guy with white and black face paint and a zebra striped sweater just sung that :O IT WAS HILARIOUS!

It's a actual song by Tori Amos, and this is the guy.

ladynoremon: (Kio -lolly-)

Okaaay, I frequently mention this infomercial. Tonight 'GDSG' and me were talking (more on him later), and I got informed that it was on Google Video :O Watch it!
ladynoremon: (Roxas01)
"You Toreadors are all like Van Gogh, you'd cut off your ear because people don't understand."

Couldnt sleep so had a bath. Washed-out most of the dye ;_; Man, I love the feeling of being freshly clean! Nice washed hair smells so nice~

I am getting forms for Interest Deferral for my Student Loan :3 I am eligable for it. That means I dont have to pay for 6 months and the governmemt will pay the interest for those months. I hope all goes well.

As you can see by my quotes, I am watching "Kindred: The Embraced". Since when can Assamites change shape on a whim? I must have misremembed my favorite episode; I thought there was no `ho shit, I just fed so I can eat and go in full sun :D` scenes, but there is like 3 :-| I love "Live Hard, Die Young, and Leave a Good Looking Corspe" anyway. The depiction of Toreadors always makes me giggle. Also it is one of the very few not extremely cheesy episodes ^^; Oh & Brujah=mobsters! I really wish they could has completed the series.

I am pretty happy atm~

ladynoremon: (Erasure)
So Yeah I haven't made a "what is going on in life for me" post in awhile...this isn't really that good of one, but I can't think of anything to say ^^;

Role Play Ramble )

Sarah Jane & New Doctor )
Shaglehod Tidy-ing )
Sleep-ness )
My right ear has been plugged all weekend and I can't hear well out of it. I am on something for it, but it really is annoying.
ladynoremon: (Tardis)
DOCTOR WHO SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!! *claps & dances* <-------:D [it has a awesome mini-fanfic on it]

Oh fuck, it was sooooo much win!~

I am sooo full of pizza and dark pop (no-name cola), though the pizza dough/crust was not cooked in the middle so I mostly ate crust & topping...

I don't think it's a spoiler. because it's around like everywheres; Donna is awesome~ [I like her waaay better than Martha, but Rose is still my favourite (though Susan is still win too)!]

ladynoremon: (Default)

Major spoiler for the end of the 2005 season of "Doctor Who":

ladynoremon: (Kio -*drunk*-)
"As a matter of fact, it is the nicest hat I have ever known."

I discovered that UPN38 is still airing older episodes of "South Park"! I also forgot about the egg-project/gay-marriage episode; eventhough it has one of my favourite quotes in it...I am now watching a movie where there is a universidy called "Oxbridge" :D I wondered if there is a "Camford"[with Cam Clarke? ^^] to go with it...I want to go to Oxbridge!~ I also WTF-er-ly read "maraschino" as "Malkavian-'o's"...are the cereal!bits covered in rainbow sparkles? "Silly Toreador, rainbow sparles are only avaliable to the batshit insane! *beeeep!*" I. Have. No. Idea. Why. Anymore. D: I think I need more than 4-hours of sleep...
