I have things I need to respond to, and things I might update about (pictures, & "Doctor Who"), but I had Christmas to deal with and now that I'm finished that and my Seven for The ZE Fans Collab Project I plan to watch old movies & sleep for the next few days (I am mourning that a lot of my old film noirs developed mould on the VHSes and were thrown-out). I am just feeling so exhausted, pointless, & worthless right now. I wish I had better things to comfort or say, and that I wasn't so anxious, especially to contact people. I wish when I did put myself out & vulnerable that I just didn't end-up feeling stupid. I didn't post a wishlist or anything this year because I didn't feel like it mattered if I did or not, and most of the things I want are immaterial or pathetic. I did manage to clean part of my room finally though.
ladynoremon: (Sir Isaac Brock)
I haven't been posting because I've either been too tired when I've thought of it, or I haven't been able to push through the cloud of 'it does not matter'. I'm thinking of doing this in point form, but I ramble so we'll se

→I finished "KurageHime" and about the last 3 episodes & ending felt rushed & abrupt. I think they changed animation for the last episode too as Kuranosuke's hair was different/spiky-er. I haven't read that far in the manga so I don't know if that arc ends like that or not.

→I started "Durarara!!" and it is fantastic! The 'shit just got real' moment usually saved until an ending happened in episode 11, so I look forward to over half of the series left :O It makes me feel horrible for no longer having a network/group anymore though.

→From about the 7TH until last weekend I've been poorly. Weak, nauseous, dizzy, and such. A combination of my 'monthly cycle' and it being an utter jerk with my anaemia. TMI under here... ) I'm better now, but I lost a whole week of getting things done.

→On December 13TH I had to travel up to Halifax (3 hours away & my provincial capital). One of my visits to Dr. Michael my lung/breathing specialist (Dr. Roger T. Michael; International Medicine & Pulmonary Function). I like him because he doesn't make me feel stressed or like I'm wasting his time. My appointment went well, and I might not even need to go back in 6 months time. Though my trip to Halifax wasn't as exciting as i
they usually are and I only bought a can of Starbuck's Awake tea as a souvenir this time. I was too tired to even walk to Dalhousie University's bookshop (where I've bought art pens in the past, and where someone I have a crush on now works) which is only a few blocks away. I did wear my new Joe Fresh sweater (I had voting on Twitter what to wear: Option A or Option B) though and my freshly drycleaned wool coat.

→I finished my Seven lineart for that secret collaboration project. I started to colour it but was too sleepy on that night, yesterday I was too lingeringly angry (mostly at television; blaming video-games, interviewing the children, the WBC protests), and today I'm going out for shopping. I'll try to do the flat colouring tonight or tomorrow, and then hightlight/shadow after (I haven't decided yet if I'll do my normal way, or try OpenCanvas 3.03E+'s airbrush). I only have until the 23RD D: and I've been very anxious about it. Worried about that they'll change their minds about me being in it, that I'm not good enough, that though I think I know the deadline/rules I'll be mistaken/they'll change them, unlimited rice pudding, et cetera, et cetera. Seven is one of my favourite Zero Escape characters though.

→I managed to get my questions in for Aksys' question & answer with the Zero Escape creator. I got them in less than 12 hours before close D: I asked if he had decided on a name for Seven yet (Seven is his codename), the reasoning behind Snake's hilarious career choices & Snake's thoughts on his little sister's new skimpy dress sense, and about Alice's dislike of shirts, where she stores items she carries, & if it has caused any workplace problems.

I'm going to try to post what I learn in each room/route. I want to do it as I do each playthough so my experience of it won't be tainted by memory of other rooms. I'll probably do this in point form, and continue it in the Comments. One person on Twitter mentioned keeping track of everything in Excel XD My memory may be incorrect in some places--I've not been writing things down.

I've only 'finished' one playthrough, and I didn't even get to finish it because the last bit requires something from another route.

My 1ST Route )

I'll probably update this with links/images later.

Well since my last entry I called Amazon again, and I got a wide array of answers and all were like multiple bad endings. It's like they were pulling explanations out of their ass. And Aksys kept saying to contact Amazon, and that they didn't know what really had happened. Pretty much it felt like both were shoving blame onto the other & hoping everyone that had pre-ordered expectating the watch would just forget. I got told everything that the 3DS orders weren't getting tne bonus, to it was against a policy to give them to customers that ordered before they were announced.

Well first I should say what originally was supposed to happen: There were rumours that a pre-order bonus would be released, but not through what way (with 999 it was GameStop/EB Games). So after contacting EB Games Canada asking if the game was available for pre-order for a month, and it not being in their catalogue, I finally just ordered it from Amazon.ca (they had it with free shipping even). Then September 17TH they announced the bonus & it was only through Amazon.com, so I called to confirm this. Then I called to confirm the watch could be shipped to Canada. Aksys guaranteed that everyone that prd-ordered before it was announced would automatically receive one. But it was for Amazon.com only so I ordered from them instead using the 'with pre-order bonus' 3DS link Aksys posted. Then I called to confirm I was getting the bonus. The next day the bonus had sold-out so I called again to confirm that I had got through in time--I had. Aksys had more watches ordered so they released more and those sold-out on the 28TH. So until Friday at 4:00PM I happily thought I was going to get the game & the watch the end of this month.

It's pretty much been the last remaining beacon of something that can go right & something to expect. I was very low, and ready to leave online, but the thought of wanting to ramble about & play "Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward" has been something, pretty much my only thing. So I've let myself get excited. I even started drawing daily pictures to countdown for it (though using 999 characters as I know them better & they have numbers). Even getting yelled at on Twitter & Nicki being sick again didn't waiver my excitement. I even didn't send my 3DS off for repairs (I was sick so I didn't send it off when originally planned) as I wanted to be able to play as soon as I received it. As most know I'm not 'hanging on' but floundering. But this was something to be happy for.

Then Friday as I was on my way back from physiotherapy and I checked my DumphySE e-mail with my RAZR. And gotnan e-mail saying though I had been confirmed as getting the bonus, I was now just getting the standard-just the game-edition. They were sorry but oh well. If I wanted the bonus I could keep checking the included links & order it if they managed to get more stock. Otherwise I'd just be getting the game. Calling got another "sorry but no" (and a later broken promise to let me know when the stock was there), and I was so, so upset. That night Aksys released a statement saying it was a technical error on Amazon's side. So I didn't bother with my plan to write them an e-mail. The 'alert me' link on the pages did not work, neither did the one after adding itnto my Wishlist. Then the next day I called Amazon again since I had gathered all my evidence of their confirmations & had access to my original Amazon.com order e-mail with 'pre-order bonus'. The first person put me on hold & hung-up. The second I requested to be put through to promotions directly with. After awhile and so many different answers & reiterating I got a $10 reimbursment applied to my account, and a support forwarding of the not working 'alert me' button. I felt awful. Like every thing I had done right to get the bonus & still wasn't getting it. I got all those confirmations, asked the right questions, made sure I went about the right way, and did all I could. And still it didn't mean anything. I felt lied to, dismissed, mistaken, like nothing meant anything, and I felt stuck. Nothing I could say meant anything. The only thing that lessened it was knowing so many others were bullshitted too, and talking to [livejournal.com profile] ahnjehleehn & the Aksys Director of Productions (who is now Following me on Twitter). But it was a horrible [& familiar] feeling.

Then Sunday I decided to search "Virtue's Last Reward" on Twitter (using { http://m.twitter.com/search } since I was too scared to check my Mentions). @OnesOwnGrief's tweet that the bonus links were showing available stock. Just by chance I learned that they were there & got one ordered. Luckily as they were sold-out in the next few hours. So I applied the $10 to that order, got expedited shipping this time (surprised it was only $2 more than standard). But I was still scared to cancel the previous order so I waited until morning to call Amazon again. As of last night my payment got →

I'm going to wait to post the fullsize directly here (I want them all together in a post), but here is my VLR Countdown picture of my favourite 999 character--Snake~:

#VLR COUNTDOWN -- DAY 2: SNAKE #999 on Twitpic

This is my attempt at his taken aback pose, as I was thinking of his reaction to when Junpei examines lights outloud (Snake's real name is Light).

---

I also got my MRI results: My ligaments are messed (healed all funny & such), so much scar tissue, & I have a cyst.

So I'm to get a brace to wear daily to try to help. And hopefully the cyst will break on its own, so they don't have to open anything up. As it is I'm supposed to keep going to physiotherapy, do my exercises, & hopefully no surgery will be needed! I also got a different anti-inflammatory to try since my Meloxicam has stopped being very effective even on a doubled dose.

[I might post more after sleeps]
ladynoremon: (Lia)

EDIT---
Nicki had no blockage! His tests showed he had a bladder infection, but besides his urine is a lot better than previous--hardly any crystals now either (and what he has she thinks might be triggered by this infection)! But he does have inflammation, and as I know urinary tract infections are painful & awful. No wonder he has been dribbling or trying to pee everywhere :( They emptied his bladder, and are keeping him overnight for observation. They want to be sure he can empty it himself, and has control with it in general. I can probably pick him up tomorrow around 1:00PM, and he'll have a course of antibiotics & painkillers, but hopefully can go off the steroids since this isn't caused by things spasming (and from experience they are hella hard on someone's system). She also said he doesn't seem very happy, so I expect he is over there wailing pathetically :( (Nick for being a big cat has a high-pitched wail for a meow).

When I came back I was utterly exhausted. I didn't even bother eating lunch or supper, I just flopped in bed and fell asleep wnile watching "Doctor Who" ("Dalek") & mid-text-message with [livejournal.com profile] watchcry (I RARELY fall asleep with my RAZR open & in my hand) D: I haven't worked any on Snake, and I know I probably won't get it up tonight (that sentence was typed that way and I snorted so it stays). I'll try to once I finish eating though (soup & brown bread)!

EDIT---
Well the day I thought was the 27TH is actually today (That birthday Scheduled Tweet), so here is the return of a ridiculous level of anxiety, and me hiding offline.

EDIT--
I got a "Thank-you!" and no railing or Blocking. Also Nicki's meds are little pills & 4 premeasured syringes (oral ones). He has been following me around since I got back and actually purring (he rarely purrs) with his tail up in the air.
ladynoremon: (Minnow)
Firstly here is Lydia yawning (recorded with my RAZR):

---

As I mentioned before, I took my 3 brats out for little walks on Saturday.:

"Yesterday I took my 3 brats out for 10 minute walks. I had hoped for a repeat of last year's adorableness in the autumn leaves, but Minnow is the only one that briefly pounced on anything. I have 3 videos from it/them to upload to YouTube once they convert. I had a hard time getting them to even go out though D: Minnow got harnessed fine, but then ran up stairs and hid. Nicolas was freaked-out that he was going to the vets' again.--So I let him walk where he wanted instead of carrying him to the front lawn where the leaves are. Lydia thought that I wanted to play chase with her, and ran up-and-down the stairs and bounced all over the place not letting me catch her. However once all of them were outside, they were fine! Lydia is probably the vest to walk as she doesn't squirm if I have to pick her up."

3 videos of walking cats & me rambling... )

---

And yesterday (Monday) I took Minnow for a very small one, and Nicolas for an over an half hour one. I wasn't planning on, but my mom had just washed their sweaters, and I just put them on to see if they had shrunk any. Well Minnow ran right to the door & started meowing, so I had to take her out. But once outside she just sat on the stump of the old crab-apple tree & ate grass. It wasn't very cold out (though it looked like it would rain) so I was content to just sit or stand and let Nick do his own thing until it started getting dark.

The rest of the pictures & video can be found {HERE}

EDIT---
Here is a picture of a robin:

I love watching them hop all over our lawns, getting into scuffles, and looking at people like 'Whut?'. I know ours (Nova Scotia's) aren't robin-robins, but I think the North American robins have better eyeliner :P

---

I've also been doing that "Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward" countdown thing I mentioned. I've just drawn Zero & Ace, but as long as I can keep calm and enjoying it, I should be fine. Today/Tomorrow is Snake, but I really am not looking forward to his intricate jacket. Why do you wear such a ridiculous to draw jacket, Snake?

I plan to make an entry with all 9 (maybe 10) drawings when I finish, but here:

Zero → { http://twitpic.com/b4ake6 }

Ace → { http://twitpic.com/b4ll62 }

My point is to get them done, so I'm just doing that cute style with flat colouring. I use Standard layers so the white cutout background isn't needed, but I think things 'pop' more/I like it. To colour Ace took me 1 hour, 40 minutes.
ladynoremon: (Jane -thought-)
Well first off, August 15TH is my Zinnian/Alexander character's birthday. If I was going by the 'canonical' birthday year for him, he'd be 27 years-old. I think if was 2004 when I created him, back when [livejournal.com profile] just_picture_me and I were talking almost daily. I still don't really know what became of her, she moved and then every online activity of hers stopped. I last got a text-message from her in late October 2007, before the move/number change. Anyway; Zinnian is a vampire with one blue eye & one green eye, a bad haircut, and a big nose. Some facts I never really stated before is that he is 1/4 Brazilian, raised by his Aunt Lily, and is from rural British Columbia--Victoria Island actually. I love how [livejournal.com profile] ahnjehleehn draws him, by the way.

------------

Well I haven't been posting as there really isn't much point to it. In general I don't even think there is much point to me though.
I've been debating deactivating my accounts, but won't, even though sometimes it feels like what is wanted. )

------------

But as for what I've been up to, well I had my orthopedic surgeon appointment, had to change physiotherapists, went to the Kentville courthouse museum, got Sea Monkeys, got the True Ending & Axe Ending in "9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors", and cleaned my room.

---

The appointment didn't go well. The doctor seemed to look down on me as I was unemployed, and to be more interested in if I had a job than my knee. The thing with my mother must be in my medical records, so I had to explain it after vague responses just lead to more questions. He did refer me off for an MRI though, so at least there is that. It could be up to 6 months until I have it though :/ (I got in for one in a few days when I had that concussion though).

---

Patrick got a placement in Halifax so he had to leave Soldiers' Memorial Hospital. So my last appointment was with one of the other physiotherapists. The appointment went really well and she was nice & alright to talk to (though not as much as Pat). We went over things and tried ultrasound & acupuncture, and I was relieved that it seemed like things were at least going to be all right with it. I was at first quite upset that I was having to switch, and that Pat never mentioned his leaving until my last appointment with him. I really dreaded having to start over again after about 6 sessions. Anyway she told me she was going to check-up on me a few days after, to see if the acupuncture helped and if not to see if it would be best to wait until my MRI since no-one really knows just what is wrong until then. She called and I told her that as the weekend was hella damp that I had a lot of pain with it so I couldn't tell if it had helped or not. So we planned on another session after the Exhibition is over (I didn't know what day I wad going). ...Well this morning she just left a voicemail message saying that as it isn't helping much (it is helping though) that I probably should just have my files discharged. Like what the fuck? We just spoke on Monday, and things were fine, and now I'm expected to decide to leave treatment, not even wait until my MRI, but to discharge myself from physiotherapy. So there again goes my sense of relief/stability & trust. I waited until they closed and did my best to leave a calm message pretty much asking "why?". I think this is going to be a 'phone tag' situation since I'm going away tomorrow and don't want the impending telephone call to ruin my day. It is probably because since they are now down a physiotherapist, that they are trying to cut-down on patients. But it is so 'out of the blue' (not Boy Blue) that it is upsetting. Like again; we spoke not even 3 days ago :/

---

The daytrip to Kentvile was lovely. It was really cold & rainy that morning, but it had swttled by the time we left the museum. The courthouse was a mix of Victorian/Edwardian, mystery, Canadian history, Phoenix Wright (not [livejournal.com profile] phoneix_wright), Nova Scotia, and such wonderful. My favourite part was the the hidden pictures in the faux wood grain done by Brian Forsyth (not Gideon Forsyth**). The pictures I took can be found {HERE} and {HERE} (Facebook now allows more than 200 pictures per Album, but after 200 it splits into their ridiculously slow 'load more' thing, and also makes editing the album glitchy).

Also while in Kentville we stopped into R D Chisholm Limited (which I've called a Pharmasave before ^^;) and they were having a save on toys. One of the items was 'discounted for quick sale' kits of Sea Monkeys. And I bought one. I also bought "Five Minute Mysteries" by Ken Weber, a pack of 'Multicultural' Crayola markers (various skin tones), and a Nova Scotia shotglass (I collect shotglasses!). They had a book on Sir Isaac Brock [who(m) I love♥♥♥♥) but I didn't want to take from my TELUS bill money, so I called The Inside Story (bookstore in Greenwood) and ordered it in (I'll have to pick it up next week though).

And again on Sea Monkeys: I started them on the 28TH of July and now it is Day #20 and they are doing ridiculously well. They are getting huge! There is one that sometimes follows me along the tank like some fish do, and I've named them/it 'Julius'. I think they are growing the grasper things so I think Julius might be a male. Male Sea Monkeys have little appendages by their faces which they use for fighting & mating (mine aren't old enough for that yet!). Also Julius is now larger than the rest (I've got 3 large ones, a few mid-size, and some tiny babies). ...I was thinking of Orange Julius at the time and not Caesar (though somewhat relatedly I also love Cassius Dio). Orange Julius products are now being sold at the nearest Dairy Queen, though sadly not my favoutite kind which is the Pineapple Julius (with a banana).

I've been documenting them because I promised @Bostonbookworm, and posting rambling videos to YouTube & pictures to Photobucket. I haven't uploaded a bunch of videos, but I've got up to Day #14 on Photobucket. I'll upload them when I can be assed to go seriously on my Shaglehod next, because last time I was I had to wait for them to convert to .AVI (my camera saves video in ridiculously huge file sized .MOVs) with SUPER© (I also use AllToAVI). I haven't yet increased their volume or combined some with Windows MovieMaker.

The album is here (sub albums mostly, but the main has the scanned instructions):

Have I mentioned enough how much I love Snake? I finally finished the True Ending, and before I started the Axe Ending (which was messed and Junpei's face at the bracelets is what creeped me out more than the rest D: ) I replayed a bunch of the rooms and oh gawh the things I didn't examine before/conversations I missed XD Like examining lights, or the shadow puzzle in the Casino! There is a part where you have to shine two lights through two ornaments to make a club, spade, and a heart. Well if you only turn one on and then examine it, Junpei states that it looks like "A woman...something with a pointy tip...an upside-down butt... Hm...". Snake is all taken aback and after Junpei repeats himself, Snakes says "It sounds like a rather sensual shadow-play.". Also he comments that Junpei tends to talk to himself a lot XD Junpei's train of thought with things too is hilarious. The 1st Class Cabin is my favourite room, and I wish someone would draw me a picture of Junpei on Snake's shoulders while they dump the vase of water over Seven's head.--I tried, but just in "myNotebook: Tan"...

I also somewhat ship Junpei/Clover though Jumpy/Kanny is adorable, I don't care for Zero!Akane/Junpei. I rarely ship pairings in things, but the 'accidental' hand-touching in the Library and the trust & comfort scenes make me prefer Junpei/Clover. Though Lotus/Seven is great & quite canonical XD

I also really am poor at sudokus -___-

Well yesterday [July 14TH, 2012] my mother & I went to Dalhousie Days out/up in West Dalhousie. West Dalhousie is located on the South Mountain, and is very, very rural. Quite a ways into it is also where [livejournal.com profile] krogoth5 used to live, and is a place I've been to so, so many times :/ I haven't been since...2005? but I wanted to go to Dalhousie Days this year to see the reptile show that they were hosting. And besides from gas & a hella long drive the price is free (excluding $5 for optional breakfast). It isn't the event that it used to be, but the now organisers seem to be trying to get it more attention and things for a 'hip-er' crowd (holding a video dance & variety show). I got breakfast which was 2 pancakes, 3 sausages, & some-sort of murky juice (the jug said 'orange', but it tasted kinda like peach, so I figure they mixed them). The pancakes were burnt on the outside, but had a nice fluffy texture. But I only managed to eat one (my mother had the other) & the sausages as I wasn't feeling very well [I did not sleep well the night before--between the heat & a dream about Hal-Con 2011 (I fell asleep to eTalk covering Comic-Con) that put me in a very grumpy mood (I spent a lot of money, trust, & belief for it, and felt unwanted, in the way, & ditched for most of it)]. But after I ate we went around and looked at the tables of things some people were selling, and also bought 4 envelopes of tickets for the Chinese suction. My mom bought me a faux wood peacock ring, and later that day also a pineapple one too ($3 each). There wasn't much I was interested in for the auction, but I did fail to win passes for Oaklawn Farm & Upper Clements Park though. I also StreetPassed with 2 kids that were also attending, and even got to StreetPass with FreakyForms (It seems no-one I StreetPass with has that game, or has nothing set-up to send out with it)! So now Saunder, Lorrie, & Pïäté are Visitors on Planet Ethan C. :}

And then after lunch, Bingo, & the children's games had temporarily been put-away, Maritime Reptile Adventures set-up. They brought 7 reptiles to show [they planned to bring an 8TH (some sort of red snake), but he was filled-up with fluid getting ready to shed his skin, so they didn't think the loooong trip would be very fun for him]; 3 lizards, 3 snakes, & a tortoise~

Bandit: a male Taiwanese beauty
Peaches: a female German giant bearded dragon
Illusion: a male speckled king snake
Stitch: a male water monitor
Tortilla: a female red-footed tortoise
Jigsaw: a male ball python
Bear: a male black & white tegu

I really enjoyed it, and it seemed like at least Mike (a zookeeper) loved what he was doing. I also really loved Peaches and got to hold her on my lap twice. I fond it adorable that she was named such a cute name, and that her favourite food is strawberries. I also learned that they think she is about 6 years-old, but aren't certain as she was found abandoned & wandering around Halifax. I also loved Tortilla, and she took off and trottled around the floor when she was put on it (even running over my foot XD ). I thought being named after a 'little cake' was so cute, and also learned that she goes...well bananas for bananas ("I like bananas. Bananas are good.") XD And Bear was also awesome! He was just like a big cuddly lug, and I kept being reminded of Nicolas (my middle brat) & Bear from ".Hack//Sign" XD

Peaches♥

The rest of the pictures I took can be found {HERE}

Also there is 3 short videos I took of the reptile show {HERE}

------------

I also recently played the "Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure" demo' and now I really want the game. The music is lovely, and the main character looks really cool. My favourite mini-game from the demo was 'Looting the Louvre', and my favourite pose is for C-Rank. I took a pretty poor quality video of me playing the demo, and the soundtrack can be found {HERE}. Sadly I've blown my video-game budget until the autumn (excluding pre-ordering "Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward"), and I'm trying to save-up some for the Annapolis Valley Exhibition next month.

But last night I bought "Mighty Switch Force!" as it was $5 off until 9:00PM PST today, which means I only paid $3.15CAD for it--though I used my Nintendo eShop balance. It's about a cybernetic cop named Patricia tracking-down escaped prisoners/Space Hooligans. It's all done in Megaman-type sprites (which are 3-D layered if one chooses to use the 3DS' slider), and is really not a very serious game. I'm currently stuck at the end of 'Incident .12' because there is a tricky jump & switch that I can't seem to time right, and just end-up- squishing myself, or landing on spikes. Here is a 'realistic' art of Officer Wagon. And since that page links to the OST on BandCamp {and is no longer really Free :/ [virt (yes THAT virt) & WayForward originally posted it to be free]}, here can hopefully be found a .ZIP of it on MediaFire.

Lastly; I am on the room after the Library in "9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors" (is it officially now "Zero Escape: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors"/"Zero Escape: 999"?). I haven't been playing much, but I have completed the steering wheel puzzle, and the number balls computer puzzle (and I thought how each ball was a different colour was really cool) now. I love Seven & Snake's banter, especially when Seven calls Snake 'kid' XD Like when Seven said something like 'Hurry-up, or we'll be here 'till the cows come home', and Snake replied 'Well then at least we wouldn't have to bring them back ourselves'. Also when Snake corrected Jupei's "Like they say, practice makes prefects!" with "Don't you mean '-Practice makes perfect-'?" and Junpei told him to do the puzzle himself then. ...The puzzle was on a computer screen and involved sorting coloured numbered balls. So yeah; make the blind guy do a quite sight-required puzzle while everyone is in a hurry because the ship is sinking. Well it might work slowly with a screen reader describing things--and Snake probably could find a way to do it anyway. Snake~♥ XD

I've also been rewatching "Gallery Fake" (one of my favourite animes)~ I want a Rhythm Thief & "Gallery Fake" crossover now though! And I've beeing trying to rewatch/finish original "The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi" anime which I started back when I had my wisdom teeth out ^^; (so 2006 or 2007) BURNT VCDS XD

EDIT---

Well MediaFire keeps losing connection while uploading, so I'm going to leave it and hope that it uploads overnight :/

EDIT---
It uploaded! So a .ZIP of the "Mighty Switch Force!" OST is now in my Music MediaFire folder --- > http://www.mediafire.com/?brt7llecvb5ee

Well we've been getting the heat wave that the East Coast has been getting. For over a week most of the temperatures have been in the 30ºCs with the over 50% humidity (it rained for a few hours Friday, but not enough to cut the heat). I've been melting, and I keep just wanting to sleep. There really isn't much that I can do, especially with my breathing problems. I did sort some of my summer clothes though, and have a garbage bag of ones that I don't want/no longer fit (I used to weigh over 200lbs.). I usually donate to the Salvation Army or Red Cross, but this stuff is in very good condition so it will end-up at the Salvation Army Thrift Store, and there has been some scandal about how the Red Cross is handling donations. So I would like to either sell them or give them to good homes.--Some stuff still has tags or has only been worn once then washed. So if anyone wants me to post pictures, wants stuff, or knows where to sell or donate them to, let me know!

I also put all of my GST refund onto a Visa giftcard and ordered some stuff off Amazon. I ordered the two Jake Hunter games (though according to Aksys themselves, one is only a snippet of the other that they edited into a stand-alone to see how the series would sell), "Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance -- Mark of Mastery Edition" [though honestly I'm not too excited for it since Riku annoys me, Sora annoys me, and it doesn't have Demyx who is my favourite KH character (along with Roxas)], and "Frampton-On-Severn: Portrait of a Victorian Village". The rest that is on the card will be going to TELUS on my RAZR's bill, and maybe to buy a bag of green grapes. I probably could have pre-ordered "Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Stand", but I'm still waiting to see if I can pre-order it from EB Games (it's not in their Canadian system), or if Amazon will update with the rumoured pre-order bonuses [livejournal.com profile] ahnjehleehn mentioned. I want a Nonary Game bracelet wristwatch :/

Really I'm more buying things to try to distract myself. But it's been hard to lately since all the recent crap, & the last removal & re-removal taking the last of the hope that I had left. And I haven't even been able to play "9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors" the last few days because of being tired & headachy. I'm in a room FILLED with stuff to examine & multiple puzzles, plus it's getting to be filled with plot (and the True Ending will be soon). So I'm just not capable of the concentration for it right now--Hopefully I will after this heat breaks. I think I might get the Axe Ending next since it also deals with vengeance, but I also have 4 (3 minus the one I am in) more rooms to unlock in Memories Of Escape, so I don't know yet (I haven't done Door 3 or Door 2 yet). But I'll see how I feel after I get the True Ending. Frankly the remaining 3 endings I can get (I can no longer get the Coffin Ending since I've gotten the Safe Ending) don't have enough Snake for me :/ Seriously, it has been aaaaaaggggesssss since I've been this fond of a character. Like I like all the 999 characters, but damn, Snake. He's like right up there with Kaido Kio...Well almost up there with Kio.

And lastly some ignorable & pathetic rambling about Twitter & such )
ladynoremon: (Snake 999)
Originally posted on June 26TH, 2012. At 1:29PM ...but now with the time changed to be a digital root of 9...

Well I decided to post on 999 a bit more now that I've got(ten) one of the 6 endings. This will probably just be a spoilery ramble though. This may also be one of my last entries.

-----

Anyway, first I'll ramble on things not 999.

Friday was my first physiotherapy appointment. I know I mentioned on Twitter last autumn on how Sole's Provider (where I get my custom shoe inserts for my flat feet) told me my provincial low-income health insurance (my other will not cover it or the chiropractic adjustments/therapeutic massage I used to get) would probably cover in-hospital physiotherapy for my crap knee (yes, I gave Lorel one of my own problems, though hers was worse & a bit different). My doctor referred me and after I had the required x-rays, I just had to wait. So my first appointment was more about diagnosing than anything. I embarrassingly wore a skirt though as I wasn't thinking (we're getting that East Coast heatwave & I only had skirts, jeans, or sweatpants left for clean attire, so I chose what I wouldn't melt in), so Dr. Young got a few pantry shots & I felt awful :/ Well he thinks in addition to the mess of scar tissue that my meniscus may be messed too. So on Thursday I have an appointment with Dr. Yafai (my doctor-doctor) to see about getting sent for an MRI to get a better look at my soft tissue. For those that don't know: I hurt my left knee at summer camp when I was around 11. They had this "Survivor" style day & had laid tarps down a hill to make a kind of giant, inclined Slip-and-Slide. The point was to grab sponges on the way down for team points, but somehow my leg hit a bump and got twisted around funny. And the camp didn't wrap it, and pretty much told me to not be a wimp & just walk on it. When I got back it was all swollen & red, and since it had been swollen/walked on so long I developed a lot of scar tissue. Normally it just causes my knee to sticks at times, but for the past while I've been having pain with it, especially when it is damp/cold. So thus the physiotherapy!

Unrelatedly, I uploaded some pictures of Lydia & Nicki with strawberries, as well as some better pictures of my cake. The pictures are HERE →

------------

I misjudged "9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors" as a creepy game that wouldn't be for me back when it first was released. If only there was more information around then so I could have bought it with the limited edition wristwatch :( I'm glad though that I read-up on it now though! I am really loving it--Although I am wussily doing the best endings first and probably won't playthough the 3 bad endings. Well 'best' only really applys to the True Ending, as in the ending that I have gotten 4-5 of the 9 people die, instead of only 1. But yes, I highly recommend this game!--And I am excited for the sequel in October...though that has a ridiculous 24 endings o_o (and the digital route of 24 is 6 again!) Actually the guy in my newly made P4 yellow User-Picture is Snake from 999, who along with Seven is my favourite character (though Lotus is growing on me). He actually is blind, and mild spoiler has a prosthetic arm...as well as a little sister. I think I like him because he tends to keep calm & think things through, but he also can be a bit arrogant because of it. ...I think he reminds me of the Eighth Doctor XD

Snake & Seven

Before I put a 'cut for the other spoilers I'll ramble on, another minor spoiler for an optional scene is the funyarinpa.

Funyarinpa!

Pretty much there is an abstract painting, and you are given choices as to what you think it looks like. I personally think it looks like some horse-headed creature with a giant Roman helmet like plume on its head. There is also a crucifix below said creature. But as that wasn't a choice I selected 'Funyarinpa' which is something that I had never heard of before. Well I then laughed so damn hard XD 'Funyarinpa' actually is a made-up word according to Googling it (all results are 999 related), and is more of a joke answer. Anyway it leads to a hilarious scene! Which leads to "What do you mean "what the hell is a funtarinpa"? You mean...you don't know?!" and Junpei calling Lotus a 'rude woman' for not apologising to the funyarinpa. You can watch it at HERE → { http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RDTaaVDYHQ } or in the comment below (LiveJournal's media embedding isn't co-operating :/ ).

999 is about a group of nine people kidnapped and placed on a replica of the Titanic (the Gigantic) and forced to play something called the Nonary Game. They only have 9 hours to find a door marked '9' and escape--If they don't the ship will sink. This whole thing is run by a person wearing a cloak & gas-mask named Zero. The other characters are:

Ace = a calm older gentleman who has a medical background. He reminds Junpei of a lion.

Snake = A twenty-four year old who is dressed in an elaborate jacket. He is Clover's older brother, and reminds Junpei of a prince.

Santa = A hotheaded guy around the same age as Snake. Junpei is struck by his silver-coloured hair.

Clover = An energetic teenager with pink hair & a high-pitched voice. Snake's little sister. (the pink hair & high-pitched voice is what Junpei says too. In fact the text!beep for her is high too).

Junpei = A college student, and the character you play. He was childhood friends with June/Akane.

June = A somewhat shy girl. And seems to be rather sickly. She was friends with Junpei in elementary school.

Seven = A very huge man with scars on his face and wearing a silly-looking hat. At first people seem to think he is dumb due to his size, but he is actually very smart. Has amnesia but follows investigative protocol. He reminds Junpei of a mountain.

Lotus = An almost middle-aged woman that is scantily clad. Junpei thinks she looks like an exotic or erotic dancer.

The 9th Man = A man wearing baggy clothes who seems panicky. His hair reminds Junpei of a bird's nest.

And now on to spoilers! )
Lastly I should say that the puzzles are really lovely. Not too easy but not impossibly hard either. It's definitely the adventure game play style I have been really craving. ...Except the sudoku one it threw at me behind Door 6 :/ I am not very good at them, and this one had no preset numbers, just had to make everything add up to 15 with numbers 1-9. I solved the previous puzzle with finding the digital route of numbers 1-9 two-at-a-time without repeating anything, but the sudoku was *urgh* -_- I solved it with help from @Bostonbookworm but by myself I kept getting all but one row no matter how many times I tried it. I think the True Ending might also have one so :/

---

Yeah I'm sleepy so going to wrap this up. Abruptly but I'm dozing-off u_u

EDIT---

I drew a picture of Snake tonight (06-26-2012) in "Colors 3D!" (a drawing/painting application for the Nintendo 3DS).

EDIT---

"Well excuuuuuuse me, princess."

"Why so serious?"

Also, Man, the William Thomas Stead scene was kinda eerie too...Seeing through his own eyes as he was about to die 20 years in the future? Also again Snake later asking where your matches are behind Door 6, but you get matches in a different route/playthrough (Door 4).

I wrote: "*Junpei reached a hand into his pocket. ...Finding no matches there--before a splitting headache overtook him. Clouding his vision. ...*" on Plurk a few days ago.
ladynoremon: (Havoc)
Well yesterday was my birthday. I turned 24 at 4:00PM. I was born a month premature, and weighed 4 pounds 8 ounces.

Tuesday after sneaking to the funeral home to sign Claude's*** guest book. I picked-up the bathouse my mother ordered from a friend of my high school tech' ed'/shop teacher. It is huge! And since I expected a regular sized one, I have no idea where to mount it now. I'll probably need to save & buy a post from a lumber place for it. This bat lodging has a nursery compartment & can house so, so many bats. Hopefully it will be used by the adorable little creatures.

In Wednesday's morning mail I received a pirate-y card & a Scotland keychain, a parcel I have yet to open yet, and "9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors"--I always love receiving postal mail. Then I dragged myself to get dressed & went on a cake hunting expedition. I traditionally get a Dairy Queen ice-cream cake, but I still have a piece from last year's in the freezer, so I wanted a chocolate marble cheesecake or a carrot cake (with nuts, spices, & not a ridiculous amount of icing) for a change. Well the person I've bought cakes from before is no longer baking, so I had quite a time finding a bakery that bakes cheesecakes between Annapolis Royal & Greenwood (a lot of places have from freezer ones). Finally I found Leo's Café, and ordered one there. Once I got back I just couldn't distract myself from the impending dread & crap, so I somehow managed to stuff my face with a Philly cheese steak panini, a can of perry, & a Fuji apple. Since it was all I had eaten that day, the perry landed me in the buzzed state where things don't greatly effect me as much/I was numbed to not give as much damn as normal. I laid down to watch "Coronation Street" but ended-up falling asleep until after midnight.

When I woke it was my birthday and I was too agitated to go back to sleep, so I tried watching television until hit by a bad urge to play 999. But I figured 999 would creep me out. Finally I decided to just stay-up all night, make tacos, & try 999. And if 999 got too freaky, I'd watch "The Prestige" or S02E03 of "Sherlock". I escaped from the starting 5 room, and eventually tried to sleep again around 5:00AM. Well I couldn't get settled & started sobbing so I got up again & sat in the kitchen drinking tea & playing 999 until June got up. I stopped just before The 9TH Man part as I knew from spoilers what was coming, and exhaustedly collapsed asleep back in bed.

I was awoken again at around 8AM by an adoptive sister fighting with June. I don't think it was about me, though I still felt really bad because she did her best to be hurtful & make her mother cry before she left again. So I just gave-up on sleep & stayed with June until my biological mother arrived to drive me to Leo's Café. The cake was fancier than I expected, and I learned that my cousin Barbie works there. When I got back I had a very hard time getting the cake into a container due to it softening in the heat and having 'help' from Lydia & Minnow. After having some I played 999 again until the 3, 7, or 8 door choice & then went to bed. I woke-up around 10PM and checked online; especially [livejournal.com profile] sheikxlink_fc for contest entries. I am saddened that there are none & I feel more idiotic too. Read more... )

This whole week has been hard though. With Claude dying (and I never got to buy him those fish & chips), The Sprague's being back in Nova Scotia, & Fathers' Day.
